Dragon nest assassin combo

I'll give a brief explanation of each skill and how it's used in 1v1 Balanced PVP. If you need to know more about it, please refer to other assassin threads that have broader explanations about hitboxes, range, etc.

ASSASSIN SKILLS

Normal Attack: Best normal attack for any class, except maybe mace paladin. Fast, easy to land, and the fourth hit can hit people on the ground and launches them back to the air. It allows you to combo anyone indefinitely if they don't have any evades. Proper use of normal attack is what separates button-mashing noobs from the elite, god-tier sins like myself.

Speedy Cut: Shit skill. No flinch, no knockdown and crap damage. Don't use it.

Piercing Star: Good skill. It's range is way too long, which is a good thing. One hit staggers, two hits knock down the opponent. Low cd. Great to use together with open edge. Get it to lv 11 so you can use it up to three times.

Dirty Tricks: Situational skill. Only use it when the opponent is on the ground and there's no other way to pick him back up. It will miss at point blank range, so make sure to measure the distance properly. If your opponent is on the air and you need to use that skill to continue your combo, kick him once or twice to push him forward.; that will make the skill connect properly.

Fan of Edge: It may be great in PVE but in PVP is very tricky to land all 6 hits to make it worthwhile. Since it's hard to combo with it, leave it at lv 1 and only use it when you're sure that you have another skill to combo afterwards.

Shadow Hand: Lv 1 for spamming from afar when piercing star is on cd.

Triple Edge: Great skill. Hits people on the ground and also staggers a bit. Useful as a filler when you have to change position without stopping your attack. Don't be a noob and try to snipe with it; you're just activating it's cooldown and you may need it later.

Sprint: I rarely use it but I think it'd be useful to prevent some attacks like smite or circle swing from hitting you if you time it properly.Feint: You need to definitely get one level of this skill. It allows you to come back from the dead and turn everything around in those 3 seconds of invincibility. You're an assassin; that's all you need.

Circle Gore: Use it after aerial evasion to quickly knock down your opponent, similar to sorceress' air kick.

CHASER SKILLS

Open Edge EX: This skill is just amazing. Low cd, fast projectile speed, reasonable damage, and the explosion afterwards launches your opponent to the air. It's a good combo opener or filler; one of the great skills that allow you to combo someone forever and ever. Aim it to the feet of the target for maximum effectiveness. Even though it's damage is not negligible, it's not worth maxing. Level 6 for the EX is enough; your SP are better spent in other skills.

Applause EX: Terribly overpowered skill. Ridiculous range, damage, utility and superarmor breaking power. On top of that, it has very low CD. It's your main combo opener; abuse its range and damage. Get all the points you can on this skill; it's totally worth it.

Rake EX: This skill does so much damage that I feel bad every time I use it. It has a huge range as well, so you can use it from pretty far and still hits. It also hits people on the ground, so you knock them down, get close to them and rake their butts for 1/3 of their HP while being able to continue your combo without a problem. I try to NOT use this skill if I can help it; it makes matches so one-sided and fast that it's not even enjoyable. However you should still get lv 16 for this skill, because when you're facing another overpowered assassin like you (they make up the majority of your opponents, since most people are smart enough to stay away from classes as OP as this one), you don't want to be at a disadvantage. They will not be as nice as you are, and they will rape your butt with their max level rake every time they can. Or if you face some other mofo that likes to kite, use softbanned skills or is overall a cheap bastard, you can kill him real fast with it; that way he rage quits and you can play with someone decent afterwards.

Rain Drop: Same as Rake, it deals so much damage that I feel like I'm cheating if I use it. Max it, and get a tech accessory if possible,  for the same purposes. It hits people on the ground, and in the air too. However, it has a slight delay so when you use it, make sure you have another skill like applause or open edge off cd so that you can keep your opponent in place while death comes from above.

Punishment EX: Easily the best skill in the WHOLE game. Ridiculous range and damage; it can break any other skill in the game except a mercenary with iron skin on; launches the opponent to the air, and if all this was not enough, it even has iframes while airborne. Max it; you'd be a fool not to.

Shift Blow: To be honest this skill is crap for raven. Low damage, hard to combo with it. Most of the times makes you end your combo prematurely, unless you use it while the enemy is near a wall. Only use for filler.

Camouflage: Okay skill. It is mostly used to continue your combo. It has low damage but good utility. Can pick up enemies from the ground and launch them back to the air. It's useful to have a dedicated key for the skill, because sometimes you don't want to use your dodge, or it's already on CD. Lv 1 is enough.

Blade Runner: In my opinion it's the best skill out of the Ripper tree. Fast casting, it has mild superarmor breaking ability and it launches your opponent. Unfortunately, it doesn't hit enemies on the ground so make sure that the enemy is still bouncing at least a little bit before using it. Lv 1 for utility is enough.

Mortal Blow: Alright skill for raven. Maxing it is not worth it since the damage is crap, but level 6 is enough to stack twice. Because of it's rather long cooldown, you don't need to take it to level 11 since you rarely have enough time to stack it three times. I've also encountered problems with its hitbox: sometimes I could have sworn that it was going to hit but it didn't. I haven't figured it out yet, but eventually I will and when I do I'll update this section.

Izuna Drop: HUGE damage. Max it. After it finishes its animation, you get a free dodge too. Learn to use it to your advantage (for example, to lure people into blowing a big ability on you).Receive Edge: Combine this with Circle Gore for epic come backs.

Access Chain: This is your best mobility skill. Depending on your playstyle, it's an offensive or defensive ability. I'm the great BlackStar so I use this offensively all the time, to chase fleeing enemies and continue pounding them or to continue my combo; although it'd also be a good idea to use it defensively to escape from skills like Spectrum Shower EX.

Burning Call: It's an awesome skill that when timed correctly can save you from very troublesome skills like Ring Shot, Justice Crash or Bone Crusher. It takes skill and practice to use it correctly, so don't be discouraged if you don't get it at first. The other buffs like Fade, Burning Shadow and Crow are shit and only used by noobs from baddieland. This is not PVE so don't even bother to get them.

RAVEN SKILLS

Umbra: It's softbanned because Ravens in general are OP enough to kill anyone. In their current state they should not require a 50% slow that deals damage to win any match vs any class. If you have to use this skill you're bad and you should feel bad.

Crooking Dead Fall: Excellent skill. Deals great damage and it has iframes while casting. It also sucks people into the explosion, and the explosion itself has a very big range. Max it because it's awesome.

HOW TO PLAY RAVEN LIKE A BOSS IN 1V1 BALANCED PVP

It's ok if you were not born as talented as me. You can still effectively faceroll any class, especially girl classes, due to their lower defense. You are a MID RANGE character; you are most effective at this distance. So if any close range class (like Paladin, Gladiator or Blade Dancer) gets near you, retreat to mid range and wreak havoc with your skills. If any long range class tries to get far from you (Bowmaster, Force User), chase them with your mobility skills and then get back to your ideal range. Against other middle range classes (Spirit Dancer, Dark Summoner, Elemental Lord), don't be afraid to trade hits; your abilities are stronger than theirs (Punishment EX Crooking Dead Fall and Applause EX specially), so you still have the advantage.

This class plays similar to Acrobat and the other strong PVP classes. Your main goal is to make opponents use up all of their evasive moves and then combo them to death. Many of your skills have low cooldown, so you should be able to combo someone most of the time unless you're really bad or unlucky. Learn how to normal attack and how to use filler abilities when your good skills are on CD, and nobody will stop you. Also, you were given three evasion moves, which is one more move than most classes. Use them wisely or become one more of the noob sins that give us a bad name. You should always be on the offensive if you can. The only thing in DN that's more OP than Raven is the Blacksmith. They should fear you, not the other way around. There's no reason why you should be running.

Here are some short videos of me showing off how overpowered Raven is when played correctly. You should all be grateful that I'm giving you the chance to see the DN world through my eyes, and also see how I manage my cooldowns and camera position. I know it makes killing other people seem so easy. Some might argue that these opponents are bad or whatever other lame excuse not to acknowledge how much I rock. It's not that they are that bad, it's that I'm that good.
